Does anyone have an audio/video of the Original Broadway Cast of Mamma Mia that they are willing to trade/gift?
God, Corey is so amazing. And you watch Julia’s face in the background - there are points where Laura is almost in tears, too. You can just see Julia realizing how much all these men have been through - how much desperation they’ve all hidden under their different coping mechanisms. It doesn’t fully hit home for her until Donny tells her about Michael, but she gets a lot of it here.
And the guys just kill me in this scene, right before the song and during it. They are all in so much pain, and so frighteningly blunt about it. Davy, immediately counting how many bottles of liquor he’ll need and mentioning losing toes. Johnny talking about digging latrines. Wayne. “I can think of a quicker way.” I just. God.
